Peggy Owens

Peggy Holloman Owens, 78, of St. Pauls, died Saturday, February 13, 2021. She was born June 22, 1942, in Robeson County to the late Harvey Lee and Juanita Gray Holloman. Peggy retired from Smithfield Packaging and was a faithful member of Calvary Cornerstone Holiness Church. She loved flowers, crossword puzzles and cooking for her children, especially chicken and pastry and potato salad.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, JW Owens; sister, Shirley Merritt, and brothers, Bud Holloman and Harvey Holloman, Jr. . She is survived by her 3 children; Glenda Evers, Terry Owens and wife, Tamera, and Jerry Owens; Grandson, Billy Evers, Jr.; and 2 Great Grandsons. She is also survived by her sisters; Janie Steele, and her husband, Vaughn, Mary Thomas, and her husband, Archie, Linda Hall, and Brenda Gooden; and her brother, David Holloman, and his wife, Betty.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Oak Ridge Cemetery in St. Pauls, with Pastor Chris Hall officiating. The family is being served by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
