Peggy Teal

Peggy Teal, 89, of St. Pauls, NC, died Monday, May 3, 2021. She was born in Chesterfield County, SC to the late Thomas Levy Ingram Jr and Almyra Hursey Ingram.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who had a strong Christian faith. Mrs. Teal was a member of the St. Pauls United Methodist Church in St. Pauls, NC.

Mrs. Teal was co-owner of Teal’s Department Store with her husband, John Teal.

Mrs. Teal was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who treasured her family. She was such a selfless person, always putting other’s concerns and wishes before her own.

She is survived by a son, Richard Teal; two daughters, Saundra Murphy and her husband Don, and Karen Tew; two grandchildren, Sterling Teal and Alyssa Tew; and a brother, Dr. Sidney Eugene Kirkley and his wife Dr. Anne Kirkley.

A private, family memorial service will be held.
