Presley David Prather

Presley David Prather age 23 of Red Springs, North Carolina, the son of Ginger and Vilyn Chavis was born February 4, 2001 in Lumberton, North Carolina and departed this life into eternity on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in Red Springs, North Carolina.

Presley is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Betty Hardin Prather and Shelby Tyler Hardin; his grandfather, David W. Prather; a uncle Danny Prather and cousins Isaiah Dawson Hardin and Mary Ann Cline.

Presley was a 2020 graduate of Red Springs High School and attended Freedom Assembly of God Church. Presley enjoyed dancing, listening to music and exercising. He loved to eat pizza and sweets was his favorite food.  He loved people and was always smiling.   

Presley leaves to cherish his memories and mourn his passing his parents, Ginger and Vilyn Chavis; five brothers Courtney Chavis, Tyler Chavis, Andrew Prather, Noah Chavis and Jeremiah Chavis all of Red Springs; four sisters, Vianna Chavis and Winter Chavis both of Red Springs, Ashleigh Prather of the Prospect Community and Hannah Chavis (Alex) of Hope Mills; Presley also  leaves his biological father, Jeffrey Prather of Red Springs, his aunts and uncles, Chris and Lynn Hardin, Craig and Christina Dial, Jonathan and Kasei Prather, Chris and Linda Cooper, and Hattie Locklear; his maternal grandfather Harry Hardin; special cousins, Travis, Ian, Isaac and Jacob Hardin, a friend Sirus Locklear and his little buddy, James Dawson Hardin (Doodlebug) and a host of other relatives and friends.
