Rachel Baxley Muse

Rachel Baxley Muse, age 80 of  Saint Pauls, North Carolina was born July 20, 1943 in Dillon Co., South Carolina to the late Daniel Carl and Rethea Hayes Baxley and departed this life, February 10, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family. 

In addition to her parents, Rachel is preceded in death by her husband, Teddy O. Muse; one daughter, Rachel Lynnette Walters; the father of her children, John M. Walters; six brothers, Edward Jennings Baxley, Robert Baxley, Robert Douglas Baxley, David Carl Baxley, Charles Fletcher Baxley and John Baxley; five sisters, Doris Ann Baxley, Louise Baxley Brown, Vonnie Baxley Best, Naomi Baxley Hart and Annie Lou Baxley McGee.  

Rachel leaves to cherish her memories and mourn her passing three daughters, Susan Walters Patterson and  Elaine Muse Bryant and husband, Ray all of Saint Pauls and Phyllis Muse Cummings and husband Leroy of Parkton; two sisters, Barbara Allen and husband, Russell of Lumberton and Kathryn “Fuz” Dunbar of Cumming, Georgia; one brother, Duncan Baxley and wife Tessie of Severn, Maryland; nine grandchildren, James, Kaitlin, Daniel, Stephanie, Kayla, Melissa, Cheryl, Jason and Crystal; 15 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
