Richard Jurdon Dean, age 78, of St. Pauls, NC, passed away peacefully at his residence on December 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 9, 1947, to the late Elias and Doris Dean.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service as a Master Sergeant (MSGT). His commitment to his family, community, and country will be remembered by all who knew him.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Susan Dean; two daughters, Rebecca Jernigan (Jeremy) and Angela Howington (Scottie); one brother, Stanley Dean (Jackie); and seven grandchildren, Ethan, Sarah, Emily, Rachel, Nicholas, Brooklynn, and Caleb.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, whose kindness, humor, and strength will be deeply missed. Richard's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
