Ruth Monroe

Ruth Johnson Monroe, 89, of Tar Heel, North Carolina died Thursday May 26, 2016 at her home. She was born in Bladen County October 12, 1926 to the late Elias Johnson and Mollie Ruth McKee Monroe. She was retired from Veeder Root Manufacturing and had served as a Sunday School Teacher for over 71 years. Preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Martin and brothers, Dewitt Monroe and Neil Monroe, she is survived by her brother, George Monroe and lots and lots of loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday May 27, 2016 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Love Grove Baptist Church in Tar Heel with Funeral Services scheduled for Saturday May 28, 2016 at 3:00 PM, also at Love Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Randy Andrews officiating.
