Sandra Morris Lewallen

It is with great sadness that The Lewallen Family announces the passing of Sandra Thompson Lewallen on January 2, 2021. She was born in Robeson County on November 4, 1942 to the late Roy and Kate Blackburn Thompson. After a courageous battle, Sandra went peacefully to be with the Lord.  Sandra was loved dearly by her family and friends. Her passion for life and nature was only surpassed by her love and passion for her family. Sandra expressed particular joy in her time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sandra Lewallen will truly be missed and never forgotten. Preceded in death by her parents, Lee Roy and Kate Ester Thompson, a brother Leroy Thompson, and a sister Shirley Burns, she is survived by two sons, Michael Lewallen and his wife Teresa of Apex and Timothy Lewallen and his wife Jenny of Lumberton; five grandchildren, Sierra Lewallen of Clayton, Timothy Lewallen Jr. of Barstow, CA, Michael Lewallen Jr. of Apex, Amber Lewallen of West Linn, OR, and Brittni Mercado of West Linn, OR.; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Becky Bell and her husband Pete and Carolyn Davis and her husband Richard, all of St. Pauls; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday January 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Tolarsville Baptist Church Cemetery. McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls is serving the family.
