Starlene Angel Brisson, 60, of Lumberton, North Carolina, passed away on June 9, 2025.
Born on September 7, 1964, in Fayetteville, NC, Starlene was a bright spirit who lived life with passion, compassion, and unwavering faith. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, Aunt, friend and so much more, whose love knew no limits. Starlene had a gift for embracing others as they were — forgiving beyond measure, resilient through hardship, and resourceful in every season of life. She loved people, laughter, and making any moment feel like a celebration.
A proud Christian, Starlene held a deep love for God and Jesus. Her faith grounded her, and her warmth uplifted all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Hart (and husband Steven Hart), sons, Brandon Fizer, Cody and Scooter; her cherished grandchildren, Marcus Hart and Lilah Hart, her brothers, Sebastian Brisson and William Phoenix Locklear; her beloved nieces, Brandi Brisson and Ember Locklear; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Girldean Sizemore and Harvey Brisson, whom she held close to her heart throughout her life.
Starlene leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, joyful spirit, and unshakable faith. Her absence is felt deeply, but her memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched.
Star was known for the many heartfelt (and often humorous) phrases she shared over the years — sayings that captured her spirit and stayed with those who loved her. If you have a favorite “Star Line,” we invite you to share it in her memory.
"Wind it up Baby! Wind it up!"
"There ain't no cryin' in baseball!"
