William Jackson, Sr.

William David Jackson, Sr., 84. of Parkton, NC died Sunday November 16, 2014 in Fayetteville. Visitation will be Tuesday November 18, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls with a funeral service scheduled for Wednesday November 19, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Parkton Baptist Church, 128 E. David Parnell Street, Parkton NC, with the Rev. William Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Dam Cemetery, McColl, SC.
He was born August 20, 1930 in McColl, SC to the late Mantie Lee and Ophelia Jolly Jackson. A US Navy veteran of the Korean War, he retired from Black & Decker. He is survived by his wife, Jerry Frances Jackson; sons, David Jackson and his wife Melba and Dannie Jackson and his wife Susan; sister, Mildred Sanders; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Parkton Baptist Church, PO Box 247, Parkton, NC 28371, in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
